Desroches island caters to all children, from 1 to 101 years young! The island brings your inner child and provides the perfect playground to be playful and recapture your youth. It's a child friendly destination and makes an ideal family getaway. Because of this, we have created a unique package called:
Little Islanders Special
When you and your partner book in the Four Bedroom Beach Villas or you holiday with another couple in the Five Bedroom Beach Villas, the first 2 children under 12 will stay free of charge!
While parents relax, children can keep busy exploring the ultimate adventure island or everyone can join together in the fun. The never-never-land beauty of Desroches, appeals to everyone.
In this safe, pristine environment, all worries dissolve and all needs are catered for.
Desroches Island provides our younger guests with exciting and inspiring activities: from fishing, kayaking, skills learning and tortoise feeding. Children between 5 and 12 years of age are welcome at the Kid's Haven anytime, and our younger visitors are invited with a parent or guardian to accompany them. (It is open from Tuesday through to Sunday between the hours of 10am and 6:30pm.)
We want the little islanders to fully experience everything Desroches has to offer so, our sitters will happily to ensure your child's contentment for the whole day or you can join in for select activities, which include yoga, pizza making lessons, conservation walks, kayaking, snorkelling, kite flying and tortoise feeding.
Did you know?
Aside from the guided nature walks, morning bird walks, learning about current research projects and the endangered fauna and flora, watching turtles hatching on the beach and exploring the sky at night, fishing with 'fish whisperers' … you can actually: Adopt an Aldabra baby tortoise from our nursery! (Your adopted tortoise will remain on the island, but you are welcome to visit every time you return to Desroches on holiday!)
